After winter break, the girls at the very prestigious Longbourn Academy become obsessed with the prom. Lizzie Bennet, who attends Longbourn on a scholarship, isn’t interested in designer dresses and expensive shoes, but her best friend, Jane, might be — especially now that Charles Bingley is back from a semester in London.
Lizzie is happy about her friend’s burgeoning romance but less than impressed by Charles’s friend, Will Darcy, who’s snobby and pretentious. Darcy doesn’t seem to like Lizzie either, but she assumes it’s because her family doesn’t have money. Clearly, Will Darcy is a pompous jerk — so why does Lizzie find herself drawn to him anyway?
Will Lizzie’s pride and Will’s prejudice keep them apart? Or are they a prom couple in the making? Whatever the result, Elizabeth Eulberg, author of The Lonely Hearts Club, has concocted a very funny, completely stylish delight for any season — prom or otherwise.
When i first heard of this book was when thestorysiren was reading & reviewing it. That was about a year ago haha. That's a long time. Anyways I thought about checking this book out but then i forgot about it. A few days ago my friend was reading this book, so i just ask if i could borrow it. And i'm happy i did :) It's really cute and ahhhh! I can't describe it. I love love love this book. You can tell i didn't really like the other book i did a review on. This book made me feel better. December been a really good month so far! I'm choosing the right books this month.
Now time for the review. So it's about Lizzie who got a scholarship to Longbourn Academy for her piano skills. She's getting bullied every single day because she isn't rich, well she's a scholarship girl. She only has three friends @ the Academy. Jane is her roommate. She gives Lizzie anything she needs. Like clothes & dresses. Jana is dating Charles Bingley, who is friends with Will Darcy. The first impression of Darcy to Lizzie is, he's just like everyone else. He doesn't like scholarship students, which was why he left the Academy for a while. Collins is the only other person who talks to Lizzie but he's super boring!
The romance between Darcy and Lizzie is a bit weird. They do tell each other they like each other but it just ends weirdly. I do like the ending though :) I just wish it was a longer book. There's a lot of drama that's all i gotta tell you. I think you should totally read this book. This book makes me feel like reading the real Pride and Prejudice. I'm going to definitely read her other book which is The Lonely Hearts Clubs. I can't wait for that and yeah! Overall this book is amazing. READ IT! You won't regret it...I hope.
