All Chelsea wants to do this summer is hang out with her best friend, hone her talents as an ice cream connoisseur, and finally get over Ezra, the boy who broke her heart. But when Chelsea shows up for her summer job at Essex Historical Colonial Village (yes, really), it turns out Ezra’s working there too. Which makes moving on and forgetting Ezra a lot more complicated…even when Chelsea starts falling for someone new.
Maybe Chelsea should have known better than to think that a historical reenactment village could help her escape her past. But with Ezra all too present, and her new crush seeming all too off limits, all Chelsea knows is that she’s got a lot to figure out about love. Because those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it….

My Review:

The cover made me read this book and after reading Prom & Prejudice. I want to start reading more realistic books. And I'm glad i am. I love this book, especially it's about HISTORY! That's a bonus. :) I love the problem and solution. Trying to forget your ex boyfriend, but he starts to working at the same place as you. That's pretty hard. Then she suddenly finds someone else to like but she still thinks about Ezra.

It's about a girl name Chelsea who both her parents work at Essex. She's been working there since she was a little kid. After school was done, she wants to work at the ice cream shop with her best friend Fiona. But Fiona wants to work at Essex. Chelsea was trying to get away from her parents this summer. The only reason Fiona wants to work here because she has a crush on Nat. Chelsea agrees to work there with her because she doesn't want to ruin Fiona's love life. But then suddenly she sees her ex boyfriend Ezra.

They were trying to choose a Lieutenant for Tawny. Ezra was the one who helped Chelsea be the Lieutenant by screaming her name out. Her colonial name is Elizabeth Connelly. Then suddenly after they choose who was the Lieutenant. Chelsea and Tawny gets kidnapped by the Civil War. Chelsea gets left alone with this cute guy name Dan. She falls for him. Ezra came to rescue Chelsea then fell for him again.

There's a lot of drama in this book :) I totally think you should read it if you like historical.
