Once upon a time, Hudson knew exactly what her future looked like. Then a betrayal changed her life, and knocked her dreams to the ground. Now she’s a girl who doesn’t believe in second chances... a girl who stays under the radar by baking cupcakes at her mom’s diner and obsessing over what might have been.

So when things start looking up and she has another shot at her dreams, Hudson is equal parts hopeful and terrified. Of course, this is also the moment a cute, sweet guy walks into her life... and starts serving up some seriously mixed signals. She’s got a lot on her plate, and for a girl who’s been burned before, risking it all is easier said than done.

It’s time for Hudson to ask herself what she really wants, and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to get it. Because in a place where opportunities are fleeting, she knows this chance may very well be her last...

Review:

When it just came out, everyone was raving about this book. I decided to download the sample of the book on amazon since I was curious. Cupcakes, skating, and drama? Yes please! I wanted to read this book a while ago but never had the chance to pick up a cover. I saw this book at my school library so I decided to read it.

In the beginning, Hudson found a bra in her room and she thought it was her mom's. So she went to give it to her mom when she realized that it wasn't her mom's, she started thinking about how her dad was cheating on her mom with another women. On the same day, Hudson had a skating completion. She felt like she destroyed her parents relationship. She didn't want her parents to split up. She ended her skating career because she thought it was her fault that her parents are breaking up.

Hudson and Dani are bestfriends. They do everything together and tell each other secrets. Hudson got offer to help the hockey team because they were losing every game and she was a great skater. She needed the skating rink anyways so why not? After a few more practices, they won their first game. But Hudson was so focused on the guys that she forgot about her bestfriend, Dani. What will happen between them?

I love all the characters. I learned a lot about Will. He's the team captain.  He also had a thing for Hudson. I feel like Hudson was too calm when Will told her about what the plan was for the team. Josh is the chill type of guy. He wasn't in the story much. I barely know anything about him except he has a sister. His character is really plain.

Overall the book was great! I love the author's writing. She did an amazing job describing the scene. I would love to read her other book which is Twenty Boys Summer. I heard amazing things about that book. This book is cute and a fast read. I would recommend you reading this book when it's winter.
