Monday Challenges:
Bailey from IB Book Blogging
Loretta from Between The Pages

Question 1:
What is your favorite cover that has been revealed this summer and why? Post a link or picture of the cover if you want.
Answer: I really can't pick one. So I'm going to pick two if that's okay. I love Everbound by Brodi Ashton and Sever by Lauren DeStefano. The reason why I love both of them is because they have gorgeous dresses!
*Everbound is the second book of Everneath. I love the first book and very excited to read the second book. The cover is gorgeous with the black dress and black smoke.
*Sever is the third book of The Chemical Gardan Trilogy. I just love the green background. The dress is so pretty! I would love to wear that dress. The details on the dress is stunning. The yellow color font matches perfect with the cover.

Question 2:
Do you rely on the cover to help you choose whether you want to read a book or not?

Answer: Hm, I think most people do rely on the cover. I sometimes don't, but most of the time I do. I need to stop though because you shouldn't judge the book by it's cover. Nowadays, all the covers are so pretty.

Top Ten Tuesday (6)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish.
Topic:
Top Ten Sequels I'm Dying To Read (Freebie Week)

Everbound (Everneath #2) by Brodi Ashton

Two months ago, the Tunnels of the underworld came for Nikki Beckett. That night, Nikki's boyfriend, Jack, made the ultimate sacrifice. All Nikki wants is to save Jack before it's too late. All Cole wants is to find his queen - and he thinks Nikki is the one. Both determined, both desperate, Nikki and Cole form a tense alliance, leading them on a dangerous journey to The Heart of The Everneath.

Fever (The Chemical Garden #2) by Lauren DeStefano

Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never far behind.

Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.

The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion...by any means necessary.

Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles #2 by Marissa Meyer

This book will feature Cinder and Little Red Riding Hood and will take place in France.
Update

"Book two, Scarlet, is based on Little Red Riding Hood. It continues Cinder’s story as she attempts to escape Queen Levana’s vengeance and learn more about her past. The story also introduces readers to Scarlet, a girl living in southern France whose grandmother has mysteriously disappeared. In order to find her, Scarlet seeks the help of Wolf, a street fighter with more than a few mysteries of his own."

Fragments (Partials #2) by Dan Wells

Kira Walker has found the cure for RM, but the battle for the survival of humans and Partials is only just beginning. Kira has left East Meadow in a desperate search for clues as to who she is. That the Partials themselves hold the cure for RM in their blood cannot be a coincidence—it must be part of a larger plan, a plan that Kira knows she is a part of, a plan that could save both races. Her allies are Afa Demoux, an unhinged drifter and former employee of ParaGen, and Samm and Heron, the Partials who betrayed her and saved her life, the only ones who know her secret. But can she trust them?

Meanwhile, back on Long Island, what’s left of humanity is gearing up for war with the Partials, and Marcus knows his only hope is to delay them until Kira returns. But Kira’s journey will take her deep into the overgrown wasteland of postapocalyptic America, and they will both discover that their greatest enemy may be one they didn’t even know existed.

Once (Eve #2) by Anna Carey

When you're being hunted, who can you trust?

For the first time since she escaped from her school many months ago, Eve can sleep soundly. She's living in Califia, a haven for women, protected from the terrifying fate that awaits orphaned girls in The New America.

But her safety came at a price: She was forced to abandon Caleb, the boy she loves, wounded and alone at the city gates. When Eve gets word that Caleb is in trouble, she sets out into the wild again to rescue him, only to be captured and brought to the City of Sand, the capital of The New America.

Trapped inside the City walls, Eve uncovers a shocking secret about her past--and is forced to confront the harsh reality of her future. When she discovers Caleb is alive, Eve attempts to flee her prison so they can be together--but the consequences could be deadly. She must make a desperate choice to save the ones she loves . . . or risk losing Caleb forever.

Prodigy (Legend #2) by Marie Lu

The Elector Primo of the Republic has died, with his son assuming power over what’s left of the USA’s West Coast as it teeters on full-blown chaos. June and Day join up with Patriot rebels so they can rescue Day’s brother and head east for the Colonies. In order to help, though, the rebels want June and Day to kill the new Elector, who may pose an even greater threat than his father.

Perception (Clarity #2) by Kim Harrington

When you can see things others can't, what do you do when someone's watching you?

Everybody knows about Clarity "Clare" Fern. She's the psychic girl in school, the one who can place her hands on something and see hidden visions from the past.

Only Clare would rather not be a celebrity. She prefers hanging back, observing. Her gift is not a game to her.

But then someone starts playing with her head . . . and heart. Messages and gifts from a secret admirer crop up everywhere Clare turns. Could they be from Gabriel, the gorgeous boy who gets Clare's pulse racing? Or from Justin, Clare's hopeful ex-boyfriend who'd do anything to win her back?

One thing is certain. Clare needs to solve this mystery, and soon. Because the messages are becoming sinister, and a girl in town has suddenly disappeared.

Mirage (Winterhaven #2) by Kristi Cook

Seventeen-year-old Violet McKenna is back for her senior year at Winterhaven, and thrilled to be with Aidan after a long summer apart. But when a violent and disturbing vision begins to haunt her, Violet suddenly feels unsure of everything: who to trust, if she is in danger, and—worst of all—whether she and Aidan are really meant to be together.

Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.

Seventeen-year-old Pierce Oliviera isn’t dead.

Not this time.

But she is being held against her will in the dim, twilit world between heaven and hell, where the spirits of the deceased wait before embarking upon their final journey.

Her captor, John Hayden, claims it’s for her own safety. Because not all the departed are dear. Some are so unhappy with where they ended up after leaving the Underworld, they’ve come back as Furies, intent on vengeance…on the one who sent them there and on the one whom he loves.

But while Pierce might be safe from the Furies in the Underworld, far worse dangers could be lurking for her there…and they might have more to do with its ruler than with his enemies.

And unless Pierce is careful, this time there’ll be no escape.

Review:
This book came out a while ago.  Mostly, everyone love this book even before it came out! I was excited when it came out but I never got the chance to read this because I was so busy with work. I finally had a chance to read it and what can go wrong? Hello, it's about werewolves! This is probably the second book I read about werewolves. Yeah, i know... I wasn't too crazy about werewolves.

This book is a group of friends. Mackenzie, Amy, Jason, and Kyle. After Amy's death, everything been different between Mac, Jason, and Kyle but especially Jason. Jason been getting drunk and getting into fights after his girlfriend's death.

I can never live in a world full of werewolves. NEVER. I would be scared to go outside by myself.

I love the relationship between Mac and Kyle. They just have a strong relationship even though they just became a couple. There's also a love triangle but of course I'm not going to tell you who it's with since it'll be a spoiler. If you want to find out go read the book!

The book was action pack with romances and suspense! The end of every chapter was a cliff hanger. You always wanted to turn the page and read the next chapter and the next. The action never stopped! The dreams that Mac was having was pretty creepy. It made my skin shiver a bit. You can never really guess what will happen next which I like.

Overall, I love this book a lot! I love the romance in this one. There's also a lot of drama going on. I'm can't wait until the next book comes out! I would put any book down just to read the next book. I recommend you read this book!

The sky is dark with wings . . . .

Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.

Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen.

For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters.

In the fight for Luce, who will win?

The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer.

Review:
This is the last book in the series. I was so excited to be able to get this from
NetGalley. I wanted to read this right away but I waited until it came out before reviewing the book. Fallen in Love wasn't that great but it was okay. I always love this series, since the beginning. It's an amazing series. I wish it wasn't ending but it is.

The beginning starts right off from the third book ending. Which I love. Even though it was the beginning, there was still so much action going on. You will never get bored. I love Luce was in this book. She was a better character. Daniel is always the same, of course. I like Cam's personality. He seems like a cool guy to hang out with. I just love all the characters in this. LOVE THEM ALL.

Finding out about Daniel and Luce love is like riding a roller coaster. It's such a crazy journey. I wish I have their kind of love.

The ending wasn't satisfying as I was hoping to be, but i love the book anyways.

Overall, I love this series. It's probably one of my favorite series ever! I would love to reread Fallen again and all the other books. I might warn you that the first book has instant love in it. So if you don't like that, you might not enjoy the book so much. I would still recommend you reading this series though. I hope you guys will love the series like I do. This book is my favorite out of all the books in the Fallen series.
